A set of 4 Robin Day 675 chairs for Case Furniture.
A true 20th century design classic. Originally designed in 1952 and one of the finest chairs to emerge from post war Britain.
Originally manufactured by Hille and then Habitat, Case Furniture in collaboration with the Robin & Lucienne Day Foundation reissued the chair in 2014.
Black leather upholstery, walnut plywood frame on a chromed steel base.
These chairs are 2 years old and are in lovely used condition. A few scuffs to the edge of the plywood to be expected from use but you would struggle to find a better used set.
Retains original Robin Day & Case Furniture labels to the underside of the chairs.
Case have been willing to go the extra mile to develop a product which is very close to my father’s actual 1952 design. The result is startlingly fresh and authoritative; one glance is enough to convince that this is the real Robin Day 675 design, vigorous, poised and finely proportioned. Like all his chairs, it is also very comfortable.”- Paula Day, daughter of Robin & Lucienne Day.
