An Arne Jacobsen Oxford chair for Fritz Hansen.
A classic example of 20th Century design and one of the finest chairs to emerge from post war Denmark.
Originally designed in 1958, these editions were purchased in Denmark in the 1990s.
Brown leather on a 5 star swivel base.
Around 10 years ago they were subject to a full restoration by Anne Marie Bruce Upholstery – the only English based company Fritz Hansen recommends for upholstery work. Both the foam and the leather were replaced. This work cost in the region of £2000.00.
A specially made removable wooden block has been commissioned which fits on the underside of the seat if required. This can be used if a higher seat height of 18.25 inches is required or left in its original state with a seat height of 17 inches.
The set is absolutely stunning and a very scarce opportunity to acquire such a large set of these iconic chairs.
£645.00 per chair – £4950.00 for a set of 8 chairs
